This resolution calls for an amendment to the Constitution to elect SBOE members, one from each congressional district. It would allow those in office on June 30, 2016 to serve until December 31, 2016. Thereafter, members would serve four years, unless the General Assembly passes a law for shorter terms to establish staggered terms of office. The members would elect the chairmen from within the board.
